Welcome to the Quarterly Club

About how it works... Sign up here

We are now offering a choice of Quarterly Clubs. All projects are created so they include everything you need to create the project and are fun, doable projects.

1. The Original Quarterly Club is to introduce you to products and/or techniques you may not be exposed to through your local shops.

2. The Applique Quarterly Club provides you with beautiful designs you can sew in whichever method of applique is your favorite. Basic applique instructions are included with each kit. This club will launch in February.

3. The Technique Quarterly Club teaches you a new piecing method each quarter. You will sew a sample block to learn the technique. This club will launch in April.

It is my hope that no matter which Club you join (one or more) you will learn things that will excite you, build your skills and confidence, and that you will use in future projects.

Every kit is designed to include absolutely everything you need to make the project. The project's are designed to be completed fairly quickly so you don't put them under the bed to work on "later".

Thanks for looking and I hope you join in our madcap scramble through another delightful year!

Features the Genie   Features Water Soluble Stabilizer and Threads
Using the Genie template, each set of 2 2 1/2" wide wof strips will yield 26 half square triangle units so you can quickly create this pillow cover. Pillow is not included in the kit but the cover will fit a standard 16" square pillow.   You will learn to create lacy fronds and leaves as you "scribble" on water soluble stabilizer with your sewing machine. It is important to know how this is done so your work does not fall apart when you dissolve the stabilizer. Then use these to create a 3D piece of wall art.

Applique Quarterly Club 2012 edition This club will launch in February, 2012
The 4 applique images all coordinate with each other so they can be used to create an item of your choice. I recommend using them as pillow covers, a center medallion, or using all of them together at the end of the 4th quarter to create a quilt. A simple design layout will be provided with the 4th kit.

Techniques Quarterly Club   This club is expected to launch April, 2012
Each quarter learn a new technique as you sew a sample block from the fabrics provided. Your instructions are comprehensive, like taking an online workshop in the comfort of your home. Once you see how easy the new technique is to sew, you can choose fabrics from your own stash and piece multiples of the block to make a quilt.

Checkerboards don't have to be boring (especially when they are scrappy) and learning how to sew them accurately, with matching points, is a foundational piecing technique you will use many times. Introduces a method showing how to easily make accurate half square triangles from strips. Great to know how to do this when you are contemplating using those precut strip kits.

3rd quarter 4th quarter

Delectable Mountains block is so easy and fun to make! You will whip out a quilt in no time with this method. Learn about sewing quarter square triangles with perfect points. The math is simple and once you learn how you will never be intimidated by quilts using this beautiful unit again.
